THE PROJECT

Bacfarm was born in 2019 from the union between the entrepreneurial spirit of the co-founders and the scientific research of the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Photobiology of the University of Cagliari.

Starting from the Contamination Lab-Unica to the constitution as Junior Spin Off, the startup has collected numerous successes, including the first prize at the Premio Nazionale per l’innovazione, for the life science category.

THE COMPANY

In 2020 the company received its first investment from G-Factor (Golinelli Foundation). It took part in the acceleration program “G-Force” and in the Unicredit Start-up Academy. Meanwhile, it develops and tests its first product for the cosmetic market: Pink Layer.
Today Bacfarm srl, one year after its foundation, put to use the results achieved so far and develops its first pilot plant.
